SHOOT PLANNING: Health & Safety
POTENTIAL HAZARDS:
- Extremely cold weather
- Rainy weather
- Snow/hale/ice
- Near main roads with lots of cars going by
- Cars going by in underground car park
- Drowning underwater, having to hold breath underwater for periods of time
- Losing pieces of equipment
- Travelling with lots of equipment
STEPS TO CUT RISK OF HARM:
- Wear lots of jackets and warm clothing when outside on shoots.
- Make sure there is a place nearby to go inside to get warm after periods of time outside on shoots.
- Pack all equipment in one big suitcase, instead of having everything kept in separate bags - which results in the likelihood of losing equipment.
- Bring umbrella for the cast and to put over the equipment in case of rain, hail or snow when on shoots outside.
- Schedule shoots for the days when there isn't any rain, hail or snow.
- Bring little box to keep all SD cards in so they are kept safe and accessible and to prevent the likelihood of losing them.
- Use zebra crossing appropriately/as one should, when filming across a road.
