EVALUATION Q3b: Distribution

EVALUATION Q3b: How would they be distributed as real media products?
For this question, I decided to do 3 creative things. Firstly, I created a 'Mastermind' video where my stepdad, Fred, is one of the contenders for the show answering questions on his specialist subject, the music industry.

Secondly I created a 'Midnight Game Show' mimicking
Michael Mcintyre's 'Midnight Game Show' from his 'Big
Show'. What happens in the Midnight Game Show is basically Michael Mcintyre comes into someone's house in the middle of the night and comes through the bedroom door of the person who is sleeping then wakes them up and asks them very random questions testing to see how fast or well their brain works after just being woken up disturbed. The people who have been woken up are not aware of this happening, someone close to the person (e.g. partner or family member) signs the person up to be on the show.

Thirdly I have created a powerpoint presentation which addresses the bulk of the question.

They won't be able to see the clock, but they will certainly know it's counting down from 2 minutes, that's all they get. The winner will go through to the next round and take a step closer to becoming the nation's mastermind. So, let's have our first contender please".

The Script:
Presenter (Michael): Welcome! To The Midnight Game Show! Welcome How are you? Good to see you. This is the midnight game show, lovely to meet you my friend. Let's get comfortable there are prizes to be won. Just relax, lie down. We're going to crack on because the bedside clock is ticking. I'm going to ask you to name three music streaming platforms.

Person in bed: Spotify

Michael: That's correct

Person in bed: Deezer

Michael: you're absolutely flying

Person in bed: and Apple Music

Michael: Amazing

Michael: Okay, next question, what do artists rely on for gaining an extra income and what helps the audience of an artist feel more connected with the artist?

Person in bed: Merchandise

Michael: Marvelous

Michael: What service is offering no ads, video downloads, exclusive content and the ability to continue playing YouTube when switching to other apps?

Person in bed: Youtube Vevo?

Michael: Nope the answer is YouTube red

Michael: Moving on, why do some people like vinyl and prefer it over digital albums?

Person in bed: Because you can engage with vinyl by touching something physical and vinyls also have album art which you can feel. It's the physical element about them I think.

Michael: Very true, very true, I agree, and also finally which company is the most powerful company in the US music streaming market at the moment?

Person in bed: Um Spotify!

Michael: Yes!

Michael: Finally, Today’s digital age changes the way record label companies promote new releases. What is part of the standard package when artists and labels release a new song?

Person in bed: Lyric Video Production
